ETX Man Arrested, May Be Linked To 4 Recent Homicides In Tyler

There have been a string of murders in Smith County recently and police arrested a man, who may have been involved in them.

There have been five shootings, four of them deadly, recently in Smith County. Smith County Sheriff Larry Smith and Tyler Police Chief Jimmy Toler said the man they arrested in connection to one of the shootings, may in-fact be involved with all the recent shootings, according to TylerPaper.com.

During a press conference, they said:

"We have a high level of confidence we have the shooter in custody. However, as always, be vigilant, always be aware of your surroundings."

KLTV reported that the arrest came after a shooting at the Westwood Shopping Center in Tyler on Sunday. Witnesses were able to describe the suspect.

Perdomo has been charge with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, where he is being held on a $1 million bond. He could be facing other charges if evidence points to him in the other shootings.
