Do you like the Taken films? Do you love John Wick? (That’s a rhetorical question; of course you do.) What if you combined the two into one film, threw in some dirty cops and Jamie Foxx with a vendetta? You’d get Sleepless, the new remake of the acclaimed French action film Sleepless Night. The first trailer for the upcoming thriller ticks off all the right boxes, and with the help of some great music and excellent editing, we were sold on this one before the 60-second mark.

Sleepless stars Foxx as a Las Vegas cop that attracts the attention of a maniacal mob boss, who sends his lackeys to kidnap Foxx’s son. What follows is one wild and crazy night in which Foxx’s Vincent Downs sets out to get his son back — and will kill anyone and everyone who gets in his way. Sure, it’s got the basic Taken setup, but the trailer promises a thriller that’s slightly more riveting and electric, while also giving us a couple of glimpses at an intense nightclub scene reminiscent of the climax in John Wick. Yes, yes to all of this.

Directed by Baran bo Odar (The Silence), here’s the official synopsis for Sleepless:

SLEEPLESS stars Jamie Foxx (Django UnchainedWhite House Down) as undercover Las Vegas police officer Vincent Downs, who is caught in a high stakes web of corrupt cops and the mob-controlled casino underground. When a heist goes wrong, a crew of homicidal gangsters kidnaps Downs’ teenage son. In one sleepless night he will have to rescue his son, evade an internal affairs investigation and bring the kidnappers to justice.

Sleepless co-stars Michelle Monaghan, Scoot McNairy, Gabrielle Union and Dermot Mulroney, and hits theaters on February 24, 2017.
