Lark Voorhies from the wildly popular '80s and '90s hit television show,  "Saved By The Bell" has been diagnosed with Bipolar disorder and has been battling with the disorder for some time now, according to her mother. Mostly know for her character as the mega-rich, sassy, and happy Lisa Turtle on the show, Lark, 38, adamantly has denied that she's mentally ill.Lark's mother, 64 year old Tricia tell PEOPLE that the former child star has been struggling with the disorder stemming from a traumatic past of abusive relationships:

"There are things that have traumatized her. I care deeply about my daughter and I want her to resume her life."

Lark claims that her mother is just "over-loving" and is denying the exclusive report:

"I have a strong spiritual sense," she says. "You caught me in moments of pray [sic]."

In an interview earlier this year, a video of Lark responding strangely to questions and her bizarre appearance had fans wondering if in fact something was wrong.

Tricia and Lark share a home together in Pasadena California.
