There's definitely not a shortage of things to do in East Texas this weekend! A couple of events have been underway since mid-week and will conclude this weekend but once they're over there's still plenty of things to do in East Texas this weekend! Here's a few of the big events happening right now:

The roses are blooming and are on full display at the Rose Garden in Tyler for the Texas Rose Festival. Festival events include live music at Bergfeld Park's amphitheater, an arts and crafts fair at Bergfeld Park, the parade Saturday morning at 9a, and more. The East Texas Yamboree is a tradition that's been going strong since 1935 in Gilmer. Celebrating the yam is what this festival is all about but they're also celebrating agriculture, farming and more too. Among the activities to take in are the parades, midway carnival rides, barn dance and more! Check the Yamboree website for a list of events and times.

Downtown Edom will be showcasing the works of many talented artisans and artists from East Texas and the state. Downtown will be lined with something unique for just about everyone. The art festival runs Saturday and Sunday 10a -5p. For a sneak peek of the event check out their website
