If being in one of Rihanna's music videos is a life goal of yours, you better up your Instagram game, because that's probably where she'll find you.

Rihanna singlehandedly inspired a wealth of think pieces with the unveiling of her bloody music video for "Bitch Better Have My Money." And while various publications immediately went to war with each other on whether or not the video delivers an inherently anti-feminist message, the rest of the Internet grew more concerned with finding out the identity of one of Rihanna's accomplices in the video.

It turns out Rihanna found Sanam, a 25-year-old artist working in a plant store, through Instagram. RiRi reached out through the app to ask Sanam if she was interested in helping out with an undisclosed project, and despite some initial disbelief on Sanam's part, she agreed — as one would, because it's Rihanna.

In an interview with Vice, Sanam explained, "I got a DM from [Rihanna] on Instagram. She was like, 'Hey, I have this idea I want to run by you. I think you're so f--king rare. Let me know if you're interested.' I had no idea what she was talking about. I was just freaking out, because Rihanna is messaging me on Instagram, telling me that she thinks I'm cool."

After a day of back-and-forth with Rihanna's team, Sanam flew to Los Angeles to be in the video. When she met the "Stay" singer in person, Sanam asked how she found her page. She said, "[Rihanna] was like, 'I just thought you were so cool, and I was like, I don't know if I should message her or not. I don't know if she's going to be down.' I'm just sitting there, like, "Are you crazy? How could you be nervous to message me?"
