Rihanna was the fan favorite last night at the People's Choice Awards, winning in the category of Favorite R&B Artist.

There was much power packed into this category, with nominations of singers who brought their A-game last year. Alicia Keys, Beyonce, Bruno Mars and Usher were among those nominated.

Keys, who performed at the ceremony, released her fifth studio album, 'Girl On Fire' several months ago. The effort scored a No. 1 slot on the Billboard charts. Beyonce has been hitting the studio hard in preparation of her forthcoming album this year. Plus she's ready kill her Super Bowl halftime show next month.

Bruno Mars' current single, 'Locked Out of Heaven,' is blazing the Billboard Hot 100, spending its fourth week at the top spot.

And Rihanna just never stops recording and touring. Then there's her personal life, which is always getting a headline. The Bajan singer's mellow 'Diamonds' track instantly became one of the top-selling singles when it was released last year. Her seventh studio LP, 'Unapologetic,' with first-week sales of 238,000 copies, became RiRi's first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart and best-selling debut week of her career.
