Singer and hit-maker extraordinaire R. Kellyhas a new memoir out, Soulacoaster: The Diary of Me, which discusses his career, legal woes and personal life. More interesting is that in his memoir, Kells talks about how the highly-popular romantic film starring Ryan Gosling, "The Notebook," made him end his 12-year marriage.

R. Kelly said this regarding the film in relation to his own troubled marriage to former backup dancer, Andrea:

As the film credits started to roll, I couldn't move. I burst into tears. People walking past me patted me on the back, trying to console me. 'The Notebook' was beautiful, and I was crying because its hero and heroine had died together," the 45-year-old writes in the memoir. "But I was also crying because I remembered a Valentine's Day -- when a helicopter dropped a rainfall of roses -- that had come and gone ... My marriage had died. And there was nothing I could do to bring it back."

Andrea met the Share My Love singer back in 1994 when she auditioned for him to dance in a music video. They married in 1996 and had three children. The marriage was rumored to be rocky from the start with reported infidelity, physical abuse and domestic violence charges.

Andrea also was reportedly upset to put her dancing career on hold to be a full-time stay-at-home mother of their three children. The couple filed for divorce in 2006.
