I came across this story about staff and administrators carrying guns to protect unarmed students on campus. It just didn't sit right with me, because we live in a world where people are easily offended, quick to sue and quicker to holler "self-defense."

I personally think schools should hire properly trained security guards and law enforcement for this issues. Their job is to teach my child, not intimidate my child. I know they say it is to protect in the event of another "Columbine High School shooting," but let's be real, some teachers do feel threatened by students, and that is my main concern.

So what are your thoughts? Do you think it is OK for teachers and administrators to be strapped at school?
