Paula Deen is best known for her delicious Southern recipes and restaurants, but some jokes may be only the beginning of troubles for her reputation.

Paula Deen responded with a simple, "Yes, of course," when asked if she used the N-word and made some racial jokes. She explained that she did not make the jokes up, just passed them along.

According to Deen, most jokes are racial and stereotypical in nature anyway.

Additionally, Deen had the idea for middle-aged, black men to wear white jackets at a Southern Plantation wedding reception, in order to fulfill the theme. Her idea was to have the reception feel like the 1860s.

These controversial remarks may get Deen in more trouble than they were worth. The Food Network has confirmed that they will be watching the situation carefully.
