Nicki Minaj may be denying the rumors, but her seat at the judges' table on 'American Idol' doesn't seem to be safe.

Apparently, the 'High School' rhymer will exit the show after the season finale today (May 16). The news comes as rumors swirl about the future of the program, which will be looking in a new direction for its next season considering judges like Randy Jackson have already confirmed their departure.

"It's safe to say she isn't coming back to Idol," a source told Us Weekly about Minaj. "She's okay with it. She had a great time but was only going to do one season anyway."

This season of 'American Idol' has had its struggles to date with the Young Money star and fellow judge Mariah Carey getting into catfights during critiques of contestants.

Minaj was signed for approximately $12 million to try to drive ratings to a show that lost both Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler as former judges.

There is no word on whether Carey and judge Keith Urban will return to the show after its finale tonight at 8 p.m. on FOX.
