The first month of the year is usually rather quiet when it comes to new music releases, but there are a few rappers and singers who made it a point to deliver quality songs on projects that have been oft-delayed and highly anticipated.

French Montana and his clique started January off with the bombastic 'Coke Boys 4' mixtape, which features his usual partners in crime Diddy, Meek Mill, Rick Ross and more. Jahlil Beats, Harry Fraud, Cool & Dre and more produce this collection of bangers.

The mixtape is followed by a much anticipated record by underground hip-hop fans. West Coast's Evidence and producer the Alchemist have been collaborating for decades, but the duo is finally releasing their first collaborative album as the Step Brothers.

Other standout releases to look out for are Riff Raff's 'Neon Icon' and K. Michelle's 'Still No F---s Given,' the sequel to last year's '0 F---s Given.'
