Name Dropping: Are You Black or African-American?

If you are black in America, you have probably been asked this question before. Some other terms, here recently have resurfaced, like 'negro', 'colored', and of course the 'n' word which seems to never go away. So what would you like to be referred to as?

'Name Dropping' is a stage play coming to the Longview Community Center this Sunday, written by Frank Corey Shields. It is apart of the 'LGV Wake Up Tour 2016 and examines the racial labeling, self identification and the cost of burying the past in pursuit of the future.
