KLTV 7 Meteorologist Grant Dade says we have a good chance of seeing more of what we did this morning through a good part of the week. This morning (Jan. 14) a mixture of rain, sleet and snow was reported across most of East Texas as a disturbance moved into the area. It contained just enough moisture to squeeze out the light precipitation we saw this morning. Grant says more of the same can be expected though Thursday!

You asked for it -- you got it!  When the cold air finally moved into East Texas a few weeks ago, it moved in big time.

Another weak disturbance is expected to move into the area tonight into tomorrow morning bringing with it a repeat of what we saw this morning. Yet another disturbance will move through late Wednesday and will once again bring a chance for rain, sleet and snow.

Grant says that based on the current track of the system, much of East Texas could see rain changing to snow by late Wednesday. There is some question as to exactly how much moisture will be available to produce the snow. Some models are calling for the possibility of 2 to 4 inches while other models call for next to nothing.
