Talk show host Montell Williams has been an advocate of medicinal marijuana for awhile, and now he's about to sell it. Williams has said in previous interviews that prescription drugs almost shut down his kidneys and told the public that his physician suggested that he try cannabis sativa and it worked for him.

“We've been caught up in culture surrounding medical marijuana that's 20 years old,” Williams said. “While adhering to every single state law, we want to provide safe access for patients and really medicalize this. Patients should be put first.”

Apparently, The Abatin Wellness Cooperative facility is heavily monitored by security cameras, and cannabis cannot be used on property. The weed is not able to be seen by the public. Williams says that he'd like the facility to be in a place where your parents would feel comfortable getting help if needed, and in doing so would like to change the negative stigma related to prescription pot.

Williams said:

"It's absurd. I can go get morphine pumped into my system and nobody's got a problem," he said. "But all of a sudden they're really worried if I smoked a joint."

What are your feelings regarding doctor prescribed pot?
