Michelle Williams of Destiny’s Child Recently Checked Into Mental Facility
With the passing of Kate Spade and Anthony Bourdain due to suicide Michelle Williams formerly of Destiny’s Child has revealed that she recently checked into a mental health facility for depression.
Billboard report, the R&B singer said in a statement that she was an advocate for raising awareness of mental health and empowering people to recognize when it was time to seek help. She has taken her own advice that she has given others and got help.
For years I have dedicated myself to increasing awareness of mental health and empowering people to recognize when it’s time to seek help, support and guidance from those that love and care for your well being. I recently listened to the same advice I have given to thousands around the world and sought help from a great team of healthier professionals.
Michelle has been treated at a medical facility outside of Los Angeles for several days per TMZ and today she is happier and healthier and will continue to be an spokesperson for those in need.
She has received support on social media from Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Lawson, her fiancé Chad Johnson, Missy Elliott, former Destiny’s Child member LaTavia Roberson and a host of others.
