Simply AMAZING!

That was the feeling in the American Airlines Center on Monday (December 17th) as former First Lady Michelle Obama took the stage for her critically acclaimed book tour of her memoir Becoming.

The event opened up with Valerie Jarrett moderating and the 1st question asked was about her special relationship with the 43rd President of the United States Texas native George W. Bush.

We sit together because it’s protocol, for the rest of our lives.  We are seated at those events at all times.  He’s silly though out all these serious events he is trying to get me to laugh and I’m looking at Laura saying girl can you get him?  She said no, he’s your problem tonight.

I had a chance to be up close in the crowd as she opens up about her humble beginnings of growing up on the south side of Chicago, being an executive, to even meeting a gentleman by the name of Barack Obama who turned out to be the 44th President of the United States and living 8 years in the White House.

She also told the sold-out crowd as she ended that despite the differences we may have with others it’s the twists and turns that connect us and that is harder to hate close up.

She will always be #ForeverFirstLady in my book!

Michelle Obama’s book tour Becoming is making a stop in Austin at the Frank Erwin Center on Thursday, February 28th, 2019.
