This year's Pro Football Hall of Fame ceremony has a special meaning to me.

We know Michael Strahan as one of the most dangerous pass rushers in NFL history when he played 14 seasons with the New York Giants. But he also is a graduate of my former school, Texas Southern University in Houston.

Strahan joins the NFL's best punter in its history, Ray Guy, as well as Derrick Brooks, and Andre Reed in the 2014 Hall of Fame Class.
