As if world champions Miami Heat didn't have enough with the likes of LeBron James, Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade, Ray Allen and a host of others, they just resigned a former No. 1 pick.

Michael Beasley, who just got released from the Phoenix Suns, was signed by the Heat late Wednesday. Beasley was drafted and played with the Heat in 2008, but was released after the team's famous move to get the big three and eventually go to three straight NBA finals.

The one-time starter will come off the bench as a role player, and the Heat gave him a one-year deal worth around $1 million. Maybe there is redemption for the journeyman.
