The retirement dreams stay alive as the Mega Millions and Powerball jackpot rolled over to an even bigger payday.

The excitement continues to build as nobody hit the Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots over the weekend making the overall jackpot a whopping $968 million dollars!

From ABC 25, the Mega Millions jackpot has added another $106 million and now total $654 million dollars while the Powerball jackpot rolled over to $314 million.

This Mega Millions jackpot is $2 million dollars’ shy of the all-time jackpot or $656 million which is not bad for an inexpensive ticket of $2.

The jackpot has increased to the third largest grand prize in Mega Millions history and the winning ticket in Tuesday’s drawing could take home the second largest jackpot in the contest history.

While everybody is thinking about hitting all the numbers even if you hit all numbers you can still get a piece of the prize by matching smaller numbers.

The Mega Millions jackpot has been growing since the last winner on July 24th and is the 23rd consecutive time it has rolled over without a winner.

The next drawing is Tuesday, October 16th and the next Powerball drawing is Wednesday, October 17th.

Good luck!
