Everyone struggles from time to time with getting out of bed in the morning - but these tips might just help you out with that issue!

Mornings can be hard to handle, especially if you're more of a night-owl. Fortunately, we've found some tips that can make waking up a little bit easier for everyone!

It may seem simple, but one of the simplest ways to make waking up easier is to go to bed earlier. Even if you are in bed each night by midnight, that doesn't usually mean that you're asleep by then. It takes about an hour for your body to reach a deep sleep, so you may think you're getting more sleep than you actually are!

Relaxing before bed can make falling asleep easier too. Avoid watching TV or being on your cell phone or computer before going to bed if possible. Instead try reading a book or or another quiet activity that doesn't require much energy. And if you're interested in aromatherapy, lavender has been proven to help you relax.

As obvious as it is, sometimes we need to be reminded that dark rooms create the best sleeping conditions. Try to avoid a lot of light right before bed so you will feel sleepy sooner.

Now for the tough part, when your alarm goes off in the morning... Remember that your alarm is intended to wake you up, not to allow you to go back to sleep for a designated time. Try getting up when your alarm goes off the first time - if this seems impossible, try placing your alarm across the room from your bed so that you are forced to get out of bed to turn it off.

Once you are out of bed, get going with your day! Go for a walk or do anything active to help wake you up. Reward yourself afterwards with a breakfast to increase your metabolism.
