Tanya Lynette Bradley, 30, of Longview, is jailed after making threats to kill a pregnant woman and then steal her unborn baby to raise as her own — all after she had convinced her family she was pregnant for almost nine months.

Longview police say Bradley had bought duct tape, latex gloves and knives, which she planned to use to commit the crime.

Witnesses said Bradley told family members she was pregnant, and she was going to tell her family she had the baby on Thursday. But two relatives realized Bradley was faking the pregnancy and found out her plans, leading them to notify authorities.

Bradley had even her husband convinced she was pregnant.

Bradley was arrested on two charges of criminal attempt to commit capital murder and booked into the Gregg County Jail.
