Whitehouse got a scare last week from Arlington Seguin in the bi-district round of the playoffs, but the Wildcats survived 50-44 in overtime and are still chasing the goal of a state championship.

Whitehouse is now in the area round of the Class 4A Division II playoffs, and the Wildcats will be meeting a foe with whom they're quite familiar.

Whitehouse (11-0) faces Sulphur Springs (8-3) at 7:30 p.m. Friday at City Bank Stadium in Forney. Whitehouse won the first meeting between these two teams 60-22 on Sept. 13 in non-district play.

This game will pit the talents of Whitehouse quarterback Patrick Mahomes against Sulphur Springs quarterback Larry Pryor Jr., who accounted for eight touchdowns in Sulphur Springs' 66-42 first-round win over Denison.

If you can't make it to the game (or like to listen while you watch), Bryan Houston and Kenny Smith will provide you with complete coverage via multiple channels:

Pregame broadcast kicks off at 7 p.m. and we'll take you all the way through the end -- and as far as the Wildcats go into the postseason.
