The King has made it official: He's going back to Cleveland.

SI.com reported the exclusive on the story this morning (Friday, July 11) that the four-time NBA MVP and two-time champion will return to his home state of Ohio and once again wear a Cleveland Cavaliers uniform.

There was no TV special this time, no dramatic "decision," but LeBron did share his story in his own words to SI.com. Here's some of what he said:

I always believed that I’d return to Cleveland and finish my career there. I just didn’t know when. After the season, free agency wasn’t even a thought. But I have two boys and my wife, Savannah, is pregnant with a girl. I started thinking about what it would be like to raise my family in my hometown. I looked at other teams, but I wasn’t going to leave Miami for anywhere except Cleveland. The more time passed, the more it felt right. This is what makes me happy.

Miami Heat president Pat Riley flew to Las Vegas earlier this week to meet with James to try to convince him to stay with the Heat. Miami's big three -- James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade -- all opted out of their contracts to look into free agency this offseason.

With James' decision now official, it's looking like the Heat are going to be in major rebuilding mode after reaching four straight NBA Finals, winning two. Bosh is expected to sign with the Houston Rockets since LeBron is not returning to Miami.

Wade's decision is now going to be the focal point of the NBA.

Did LeBron make the right move? Will he win a championship in Cleveland?

One thing's for sure: With Johnny Manziel drafted by the Browns and LeBron back in a Cavs jersey, all the nation's sports eyes for the next year are going to be on Ohio.
