Lucasfilm has been tight-lipped on the upcoming Han Solo spinoff, but it looks like a Star Wars fan favorite might show up in the new movie.

According to The Wrap, Alden Ehrenreich’s Han might be accompanied by a young Lando Calrissian in the prequel spinoff. The smuggler and gambler of Cloud City was originally played by Billy Dee Williams in The Empire Strikes Back and The Return of the Jedi. The character has also appeared in Star Wars Rebels last year and starred in his own Star Wars comic. The site reports that the studio is looking to cast a young version of Williams’ character.

It shouldn’t come as a major surprise that Calrissian will show up again on screen. Last year, Lawrence Kasdan told Vanity Fair that he didn’t think the character of Lando was “finished in any way, shape, or form,” hinting as his eventual return. Kasdan is co-writing Phil Lord and Chris Miller’s Han Solo movie with his son Jon Kasdan. The still-untitled Han Solo origin movie will star Ehrenreich as the young version of the smuggler. At Star Wars Celebration Europe last month, Miller and Lord revealed the spinoff movie would star shooting in early 2017. The film still doesn’t have a release date or any further casting details, but we’re bound to find out more after Rogue One opens this December and the attention shifts to the Han Solo film.
