It’s been two weeks since Kaufman County District Attorney Mike McLelland and his wife were found shot to death in her their home in Forney, and investigators say they’re receiving tips on a “fairly regular basis."

Authorities also said they are moving forward with the investigation of the McLellands murders and the Jan. 31 slaying of assistant district attorney Mark Hasse, who was gunned down outside the county courthouse in Kaufman.

But Sheriff's Lt. Justin Lewis won't elaborate on the number or types of tips officials are getting.

Lewis' comments came Thursday during a press conference as Erleigh Norville Wiley takes over as district attorney following her appointment this week by Gov. Rick Perry. She's a former prosecutor who most recently has been serving as a judge.
