Being Kanye West is hard. Just ask him.

Performing at the Big Chill music festival in England Saturday night, West railed against those who judge him. “I walk through the hotel and I walk down the street, and people look at me like I’m f****** insane, like I’m Hitler,” he said, eliciting a light chorus of boos from the crowd.

West has a track record of actions that have gone, as he puts it, “misunderstood,” like the sexually-charged imagery in his ‘Monster’ video that women’s groups called misogynistic and his infamous upstaging of Taylor Swift at the 2009 VMAs that fans saw as bullying (both of which he defended during his eight-minute rant).
