Jucy's Hamburgers is an East Texas staple, and in this month's issue of Texas Highways magazine, Jucy's received the honor of making the No. 1 burger in Texas.

Not bad for a burger joint that originated in Longview and only has five locations, two in Longview, one in Marshall and two in Tyler.

It was a big surprise to the owners, as they didn't know the vote was going on until they saw an article on Facebook.

There is a lot of pride that goes into each burger. Each store goes through about 250 pounds of ground beef each day, that is cooked to order, and fries are cut fresh every day, too.

As far as the rest of the survey goes, Alamo Springs Cafe was No. 2, followed by Chris Madrid's, Burger Grind and Storm's.
