Yeah! Our girl Jill Scott is headlining a concert for the progression of race relations in America. Who came up with this clever idea?

I think it is great that she is in concert, and an even better idea that John Legend and Pharrell are on the ticket, too. I just wonder, do concert goers really get the message or do they just enjoy the music?

The tour is titled "Shining a Light." It is a Concert for Progress on Race in America, and was influenced by the members of Mother Emanuel Church in South Carolina, where a mass shooting took place in June of this year.

Money from this event will go to the United Way's 'Fund For Progress On Race In America." The concert will take place in on Nov. 18 in Los Angeles.

If you can't get there to catch it live, you can catch it on TV on Nov. 20. A&E, History Channel, Lifetime, H2 and LMN will all carry it.
