Jesse Boykins III continues his successful run of reworking popular songs into soulful gems. This time, the talented crooner flips Rihanna’s yearning ballad 'Stay,' which features Mikky Ekko.

Boykins takes a different musical approach with his rendition. Instead of a downing piano groove like on the original song, he anchors his track with an acoustic guitar groove and mellow synths.

Utilizing his airy falsetto, Boykins pleas with his lover to stay despite their relationship being so tumultuous.

"It’s not much of a life you are livin’ / It’s not just something you take, its given," he sings. "'Round and 'round and around we go / Now, tell me now, tell me now, tell me now, you know."

The singer has been garnering plenty of attention for his unique covers. The 28-year-old has reworked Janelle Monae’s 'What an Experience,' Drake’s 'From Time,' Chris Brown’s 'Beautiful People' and Andre 3000’s 'Prototype.'

You can hear all of his cover songs as well as original music on his official Soundcloud page.
