In school we were taught the catchy phrase... "In fourteen-hundrend and ninety two, Columbus sailed the ocean blue!" - In hopes that we'd remember that Christopher Columbus discovered what we all know and love as America. Today, historians are saying it wasn't exactly that simple, and in fact, Columbus was said to be more of a criminal.
