All of us Apple Junkies who took a bite of the "forbidden fruit" and are hooked on the technology watch and listen for the news of the next new update or upgrade in software and hardware.

There have been rumors that there isn't going to be an iPhone 5 but rather a software update. (Seeing as how I just got my iPhone 4 in January -- kinda hoping that there isn't a new phone -- cause if there is -- of course I will HAVE to get it!) This morning Apple release a statement: after the jump.

“At this year’s conference we are going to unveil the future of iOS and Mac OS,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing. “If you are an iOS or Mac OS X software developer, this is the event that you do not want to miss.”

So, June 6th -- it seems that Mac OS X ‘Lion’ is going to be a yes, iOS 5 preview is also a yes, but I’m kinda of relieved that there may not be any iPhone hardware announcements at WWDC this year. I love the technology -- but problem is that I don't know many people to use the "facetime"option with.
