Ed Reed, considered one of the most dangerous safeties to ever play in the NFL, was released Tuesday by the Houston Texans.

With a less than impressive season where Reed did not play until Week 3 after sitting out from hip surgery, the future Hall of Famer has no intereceptions and was reduced to play dime packages.

He blasted the Texans coaches after their loss to the Arizona Cardinals and was released Tuesday.

When asked was he going to reunite with his former team the Baltimore Ravens, a team official said it was very unlikely.
