Saturday, July 1st is slotted as "National Creative Ice Cream Flavors Day" and really, anything that has to do with ice cream is worth celebrating.  I tried out two crazy ice cream creations in Tyler - one for adults, and one kid-friendly) and they were both so good I have to share.  My first stop was at Marble Slab Creamery where you can let your imagination (and calorie intake) run wild with various ways to get creative with ice cream.

I am no stranger to this place that sells everything from ice cream and milkshakes to frozen yogurt, which is what I normally get.  But in honor of creativity, something else caught my attention.  I decided to get the Peanut Butter Galaxy because of my undying love for peanut butter and chocolate. This creation is made up of the following:

  • Chocolate
  • Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
  • Reese's Pieces
  • Peanut Butter Topping

This is the kid-friendly version of an ice cream creation, but now let's get into something more adult-themed.

Feast your eyes on this creation!  It's called "ET Drunk Dial" and you can find this at Grub Burger Bar in Tyler.  This right here is one of the many adult themed milkshakes they offer and this drink didn't disappoint.  By adult-themed, we mean 'alcohol included'. The milkshake contains the following:

  • Vanilla Ice Cream
  • Reese's Pieces
  • Peanut Butter
  • Chocolate
  • Chocolate Vodka
  • Topped w/ a Peanut Butter Cookie

Marble Slab Creamery is located at 4915 S. Broadway and Grub Burger Bar is located at 6421 S. Broadway.  So if you are out with the kids or making it a date night, make a mental note to treat yourself to some ice cream and get creative with the flavors.
