The N-word is a sensitive one, no matter who utters it. It’s extra sensitive when someone as white-bred as Gwyneth Paltrow says it — on Twitter, no less. But following quite a bit of backlash, the GOOP queen is explaining herself.

The Oscar winner was on hand at Jay-Z and Kanye West‘s recent ‘Watch the Throne’ concert in Paris, where the duo broke their own record by performing ‘N—-s in Paris’ a whopping 11 times in a row. Paltrow, whose hubby, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, is pals with Hova, was enjoying the show from a special spot: onstage. She tweeted a photo of herself with the rap royalty, writing, “Ni**as in paris for real.”

This didn’t sit well with a lot of African-American and otherwise politically correct fans, who lashed out against the actress. However, Paltrow wasn’t apologizing for the possible faux pas. She responded via Twitter, the same outlet that launched the hate against her.

We’re guessing Jigga and Company aren’t too upset by it — and if they are, they haven’t mentioned it. Jay’s been the target of much more overt racism lately, so he has bigger fish to fry … and he has yet to respond to those as well.

Do you think Gwyneth Paltrow committed a no-no by tweeting a censored version of the N-word? Tell us in the comments!
