undergo neck surgery.Fielder,who joined the Rangers this season,is only hittting .247

with 3 homers and 16 RBI is having a less than impressive season thus far and has

six more season on his long term deal with Rangers.He came from the Detroit Tigers

in a trade for Ian Kinsler.
