John Elway is on the Verge of History

Denver Broncos VP of Football Operations John Elway has a lot to be thankful for.

Since taking over in 2011, Elway has put together a Broncos team that has made the playoffs each of his three seasons, and this year's team is headed to Super Bowl XVLlll.

Elway could become the first former player to win a Super Bowl as a player, as an executive and being named MVP.

The feat would make him the Jerry West of the NFL. Jerry West won titles as a player and four as an executive for the Los Angeles Lakers.
