East Texas Wildfires Cause Evacuations
Area wildfires have prompted several evacuations from area all across East Texas. Our news partners at KLTV have the most in-depth look at the current fires and any current evacuations going on. Here are area that have evacuations ordered with shelters provided for the residence displaced because of the fires. More after the jump.
In Gregg County there are two areas under evacuation:
•Cole Bottom Road south to Wilkins Road
•All residents south of Hwy 80, west of Hwy 42 between Camp Switch and Mary Lawson, with a southern border of Merrills Lake Road
Maude Cobb Convention center will be housing any evacuees and their pets
In Andreson County:
•South of Hwy 294, north of CR 118 and CR 122, and west of FM 322 to the Leon County Line.
A shelter has been set up at Dogwood Hill Baptist Church on Hwy 79 E.
•FM 2767 and CR 239
•East of CR 476
•Pin Oak Road
