East Texas Man Dies in Wrong-Way Accident

An accident Tuesday night in Smith County has claimed the life of a Lindale man.

Authorities say Albert Singler, 81, was traveling in the wrong direction along I-20 near exit 849 when he struck another vehicle head on.

Singler was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two occupants in the other vehicle, including an 11-month old baby were treated and released at a local hospital.

The wreck occurred around 8:45 p.m.
