Tell us if you've heard this one before: more rain is coming.

A tropical disturbance in the Gulf of Mexico that could develop into a stronger storm is expected to bring heavy rains back to East Texas this week, and our area could see up to five inches of rain by week's end.

According to KLTV, we should expect to see heavy rain and thunderstorms the majority of Tuesday through Thursday. Our current forecast has 80 percent chances of rain Tuesday and Wednesday and 60 percent on Thursday.

With many lakes, rivers and creeks already at high points, flash flooding is a definite possibility if we do indeed get that much rain.

We'll keep you updated on all the latest weather information, and if the weather gets real severe, we'll take over the station with wall-to-wall coverage from KLTV's StormTracker Weather Team.
