A magnitude 2.8 earthquake struck around early Tuesday morning in East Texas.

The U.S.Geological Survey says the quake struck around 6:30 a.m. ,two miles south of Timpson in Shelby County.

Last Friday a 4.1 magnitude quake also struck near Timpson and was felt in several East Texas counties.

There are no reports of injuries or damage from today’s earthquake.
