Kevin Durant hit for 41 points for the Oklahoma City Thunder, who lost to the Phoenix Suns, 122-115, last night. But it was a record-setting night for the Thunder superstar.

Durant has now scored 25 or more points in 41 straight games to beat the record of 40 held by Hall of Famer Michael Jordan, who accomplished the feat in 1986-87.

Durant has been largely considered a front-runner in the MVP race. Did this just seal the deal?
