It's been a big year in music for a lot of artists, but possibly none were as outstanding as Drake's in 2016. The Toronto rapper not only hit the road for his sold out arena Summer Sixteen Tour, released his highly-anticipated Views albumbut he finally landed his first no. 1 hit on the Billboard charts. Drizzy was in everyone's ears, whether it was by choice to them or not.

The "Hotline Bling" entertainer has set a couple of records this year on top of it all, and his most major one comes from Spotify. According to the music streaming service, Drake has been named as the company's most streamed artist of 2016, having reached over 4.7 billion streams. Not only did he achieve this record through his no. 1 hit, "One Dance," becoming the most streamed song of all-time, but he also snagged the title through his album, Views, despite it not being available to other platforms other than Apple Music for the first 2 weeks of its release.

Drizzy was already named Spotify's most streamed artist ever back in May by the streaming service, so this feat doesn't come as too big of a surprise for fans who have been endlessly looping his music this year. His rumored boo, Rihanna, was also named Spotify's most streamed female artist of the year, as Zayn Malik, formerly of One Direction, was deemed the biggest new act of 2016. What are your thoughts on Drizzy's newest accomplishment this year?
