Congrats are in order for Sean “Diddy” Combs and his football documentary ‘Undefeated.’ The movie was honored with a 2012 Oscar for Best Documentary Feature at the annual Academy Awards on Sunday (Feb. 26). The Diddster will receive a golden trophy for his work as an executive producer on the film.

The win also marks an historic milestone as the movie’s director, T.J. Martin, becomes the first African-American filmmaker to win an Academy Award. Overcome with excitement, Martin dropped the F-bomb during his acceptance speech. “We would like to acknowledge our fellow nominees, they have inspired us,” he said. “They have inspired us in so many ways, they should be up here with us, actually, that’d be f—ing amazing.” He would later apologize to reporters backstage for the gaffe.

Meanwhile, Diddy took to Twitter and dropped the S-bomb during his tweet-filled acceptance speech. “Holy S—!!!!” he wrote. He then added, “God is the greatest!!!! Thank you! DREAMS DO COME TRUE!! Hard work pays off!!”

Diddy is now the third hip-hop artist to win an Academy Award. Both Eminem and Three 6 Mafia won Oscars for Best Original Song in 2003 and 2006, respectively.

Diddy later issued a formal statement about him winning an Oscar for ‘Undefeated’

Hello World,

Waking up the day after such an incredible experience is humbling.

I have had so many dreams, some came true others are still being worked on. That said, being apart of a film that shows the drive and determination of kids who seemingly have no hope, no future, and nothing but obstacles, has taught me that there is a universal spirit of faith and character in all of us that binds us. Their story is my story, is our story, is your story at some real level, we can relate. Once the flame is ignited in us, nothing can stop us. I hope to be that spark that makes everyone believe anything is possible. God bless you all and I thank you for sharing in this honor with me.

Sean Combs.

Again, congrats to Diddy for his big win.
