Dallas Cowboys defensive end DeMarcus Ware is expected to undergo elbow surgery on Feb. 18 on his nagging right elbow.

Ware could miss some time, but according to ESPN Dallas, he plans to participate in most of the Cowboys' offseason workouts.

He hoped the elbow problems, which have been bothering him for more than two years, would heal with rest but that wasn't the case in 2013.

"It's been killing me," Ware told ESPN Dallas. "It's hurt really bad and that's why I would wear an elbow pad to stop from getting it hit but that didn't do much. It would get irritated even when it was barely touched."

Ware only had six sacks in 2013, so hopefully this will mean an increase in production for him and the Cowboys defense, because Lord knows they need it.
