Police in Ohio have reportedly arrested a man who allegedly attempted to smuggle knives and at least one gun into a late-night showing of ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ at a Cleveland movie theater.

TMZ reports the manager of the theater became suspicious of a man who tried to bring a satchel into the theater. The manager alerted an off-duty police officer who was working as security, and he reportedly found guns, knives and ammunition in the bag.

The off-duty cop alerted police, and the man was arrested. Police also searched the man’s home, but it is unclear if anything was found. The man’s name has not yet been released.

It’s an incident that comes just weeks after prosecutors say James Holmes killed 12 people in an Aurora, Colo., movie theater during a midnight showing of ‘The Dark Knight Rises.’

Copycats of mass-covered crimes aren’t uncommon, and this is the second such event where someone tried to take a gun into a theater or used the ‘Joker’ reference (like Holmes) when planning a crime.
