Chris Brown Charged With Criminal Hit-and-Run

Chris Brown's legal team and publicist should ask for a raise because they work overtime dealing with the drama that surrounds the R&B star. The singer and trouble magnet has been charged with a criminal hit-and-run and he's taken to Twitter to proclaim his innocence.

TMZ reports that the L.A. City Attorney has filed two charges against Breezy related to a fender bender where he rear-ended a Mercedes. It was reported that he didn't show the other person his driver's license and that he delivered false insurance documents and left the scene, none of which you're allowed to do when minor accidents happen.

His charge of hit and run relates to leaving the scene without exchanging the correct information. He is also charged with driving sans a valid license. Each offense carries a maximum of six months in jail.

But wait. It gets worse.

The case will be sent to the L.A. County D.A., since it could be determined that he violated the terms of his probation stemming from the infamous case where he beat his on-off ex Rihanna. If a judge rules that Breezy broke the law and did indeed violate his probation, he's staring down four years behind bars. Yikes.

The always controversial star, who will release his new album, 'X,' on July 16, hit Twitter to vocally proclaim that he did nothing wrong and that the other driver saw the opportunity to get rich quick off him as a result of cameras being present.
