Chris Brown has been ordered to stay in a rehab treatment program after doctors discovered that the embattled singer is suffering from bipolar disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder.

In legal documents obtained by E! News, doctors advised that Brown remain under close supervision by a physician to "ensure his bipolar mental health condition remains stable."

It further states that "Mr. Brown became aggressive and acted out physically due to his untreated mental health disorder, severe sleep deprivation, inappropriate self-medicating and untreated PTSD."

Based on the doctor’s recommendation, Judge James Brandlin ordered Brown to stay in rehab for two more months despite receiving a positive report from his probation officer.

Breezy appeared in the Los Angeles courtroom with a bushy chin beard and wearing a sliver suit. His mother, Joyce Hawkins, sat next to her son for the entire hearing.

Prosecutors have asked that Brown be sent to jail for violating his probation with his October arrest stemming from an altercation in Washington, D.C.

However, the singer’s attorney, Mark Geragos, have asked the judge to await until the conclusion of that case before hearing evidence on whether his client should be sent to jail.

Brown is due back in court on April 23 for a probation violation hearing.
