Happy Juneteenth!  Often known as ‘Juneteenth Independence Day’ or ‘Freedom Day.’  The day is observed to commemorate the June 19th 1865, announcement of the abolition of slavery in the U.S. State of Texas.

While most Texans are celebrating this beloved holiday for one night only you can celebrate with the Real Cowboy Association in Longview for the 25th Annual Longview Juneteenth Black Rodeo!

On Saturday June 23rd, at 8 p.m. the fun begins at the Maude Cobb Convention Center for ‘The Baddest Show On Dirt’ featuring the meanest bull on the planet ‘9-1-1.’
