Chris Brown Denies ‘I Won’t Beat You’ Pick Up Line

Chris Brown isn’t known for his gender sensitivity and Us Weekly aren’t known for their reliable reporting, so when the two sides came together last week, the result was one of the more eyebrow-raising rumors we’ve heard in awhile: an unnamed woman claimed that Brown asked for her number and used “I promise I won’t beat you” as his pickup line. Brown says the whole thing is untrue, however.

Robin Thicke Covers Whitney Houston Classic ‘Exhale (Shoop Shoop)’

After being caught allegedly inhaling last week in New York, R&B singer Robin Thicke decided to cover Whitney Houston‘s 1995 ballad ‘Exhale (Shoop, Shoop)’ from the ‘Waiting to Exhale’ soundtrack. The song was Nippy’s 11th No. 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and won her a 1997 Grammy for Best R&B Song.

Aretha Franklin Sings Moving Tributes to Goddaughter Whitney Houston [VIDEOS]

While Aretha Franklin was too ill to attend goddaughter Whitney Houston‘s funeral, she did perform two moving tributes to the fallen singer at Radio City Music Hall.

“This honors one of the greatest singers that ever stood in front of a microphone,” Franklin said, even her speaking voice musical in its lilt. “I’m speaking of none other than Whitney Elizabeth Houston.”

Chris Brown Fires Back at Miranda Lambert

Another day, another Chris Brown Twitter drama. Country singer Miranda Lambert lambasted Brown and the Grammys for allowing him to perform in light of his assault on Rihanna in 2009. She continued her verbal and PR assault on Brown at one of her concerts. While Brown was relatively quiet in regards to her specific comments, he spoke out the best way he knows how yesterday: his oft-controversial Twitter account.
