An outdoor burning ban advisory has been issued in Smith County for today (March 5) due to high winds. Burn bans are a mandatory, yet temporary, order that restricts the use of wood stoves and fireplaces, grilling as well as outdoor burning of trash or leaves. Offenders could face a stiff fine.
